This Privacy Policy explains how Billz handles personal information collected through the public Billz website, early-access forms and related business communications. Product-specific privacy notices may apply if you later use a live Billz product or service.
1. Controller and scope
Billz is responsible for personal information processed for the operation of this website and the Billz early-access process. Before broad commercial launch, this section must be completed with the full legal name of the Billz operating entity, registered address, company-registration details where applicable, and a dedicated privacy contact. This policy applies to website visitors, early-access applicants and people who communicate with Billz about potential products or services.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Billz, we may collect business contact information such as your name, work email address, company, role, treasury-size range, areas of interest and the content of communications. We may also collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, timestamps, pages viewed, interaction events, error logs and security-related information where those features are enabled.
3. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you when you submit a form or communicate with Billz; automatically from your browser or device when website technologies are used; and from service providers that support website hosting, security, CRM or analytics. If a business contact is already known to Billz, website activity may be associated with an existing business-contact record where permitted by law.
4. Why we use personal information
Billz may use personal information to respond to early-access requests and enquiries; understand prospective customer requirements; arrange demonstrations or follow-up conversations; assess product fit or eligibility; operate, secure and troubleshoot the website; prevent abuse, spam and fraud; understand website performance; improve Billz products and messaging; maintain business records; establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and comply with legal, regulatory or security obligations.
5. Legal bases
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, Billz may rely on: legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the website and developing relevant B2B relationships; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; compliance with legal obligations; and consent where consent is required, including for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies and analytics. Billz should document the final legal basis for each production processing activity before launch.
6. Early-access forms and HubSpot
Billz currently uses HubSpot to receive and manage website early-access requests and business-contact information. Submitting the Billz Early Access form may create or update a contact record in HubSpot. HubSpot may process this information as a service provider / processor for Billz in accordance with the applicable HubSpot agreement. HubSpot may also apply its own security, anti-abuse and spam controls to submissions.
7. Hosting and Vercel
The public Billz website is currently hosted and delivered using Vercel. Vercel may process limited technical, security and request information needed to host, deliver and protect the website. Information processed by Vercel is subject to the contractual and data-protection arrangements applicable between Billz and Vercel.
8. Cookies, local storage and analytics
The website may use technologies that are strictly necessary for security, network delivery or functionality. If Billz enables non-essential analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking or similar technologies, Billz should provide a consent mechanism where required and should not activate consent-dependent technologies until the required choice has been obtained. Users should be able to refuse or withdraw consent as easily as they can grant it. The active cookie and analytics inventory should be documented before production traffic is scaled.
9. Social links
The website may contain links to Billz pages on third-party social networks such as LinkedIn or X. Clicking those links takes you to a service operated by the relevant platform. Those platforms process personal information under their own privacy notices. Billz does not control their independent processing.
10. Marketing communications
Billz may contact business users about an early-access request, a requested demonstration, product availability or related B2B discussions where permitted by law. Where consent is required for marketing, Billz should obtain it before sending consent-dependent communications. You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting Billz. Opting out does not prevent necessary operational or relationship communications.
11. Sharing of information
Billz may share personal information with service providers that support hosting, CRM, security, communications, analytics, legal, accounting or operational functions; with professional advisers; with regulators, courts or authorities where legally required; and with parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards. Billz should not disclose website lead data to third parties for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis.
12. International transfers
Billz and its service providers may process personal information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where required, Billz should use recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit passwords, private keys, seed phrases, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information through public website forms.

The public website and early-access form are not intended to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about website visitors. If Billz later introduces such processing, Billz should provide any additional notice, safeguards and rights required by applicable law.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of personal information; receive certain information in a portable format; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal limitations. Billz may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
17. EEA and UK users
If the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar rules apply, Billz should provide the identity and contact details of the controller, purposes and legal bases of processing, recipients or categories of recipients, transfer safeguards, retention periods or criteria, applicable rights, complaint rights, whether information is required by contract or law, and relevant information about automated decision-making. The missing controller and contact details must be completed before broad commercial launch.
18. Children
The Billz website is intended for business users and is not directed to children. Billz does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the public website.
19. Changes to this policy
Billz may update this policy as the website, product, providers or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes should be communicated where required by law.
20. Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests should be sent to the official privacy contact published by Billz. Before broad commercial publication, Billz should insert a dedicated privacy email or contact channel, full legal-entity details, registered address and, where required, details of the relevant supervisory authority or representative.
